"But Who in their right mind would move to Pahoa ?! " amazing blog entry about my sacred home ❤️‍🔥

It's always amusing reading about my beautiful eclectic hometown of Pahoa from outsiders perspectives. I love witnessing others come move here and at first be taken aback a bit , then witnessing them start to mingle with the Punatics, and soon enough they are fully immersed and there's no going back.

"Pahoa Strong" lyrics for "From Pahoa with Lava" Na Leo TV documentary by Laulima Pahoa501 (c)(3) , my moms Pahoa community non profit (www.facebook.com/laulimapahoa )

I am a firm believer that the lost souls of the universes end up in Pahoa town. You can find every and any type of person here on our streets. And be loved and welcomed just the same . Yeah... there used to be the old days of gunshots in the bar and crazy stuff at all hours of the night, but now 2023, it honestly hasn't been safer in my eyes ... in the blog link I share with you here , you will see video of musicians behind "Luquins" and also images of luquins and akebono, the big green historic theater, these places burned down to the ground due to the town druggies in 2017. Yes, we are the world's most isolated archipelago, and smack dab in the middle of two of the world's largest and most active 🌋 volcanoes , but the true INNER PEACE to be found in our atmosphere, cannot be bought .

I came across this amazing blog entry by someone who moved here , and it brought me to tears . At first a bit of emotion towards some things he says (i personally know dog and Beth. Rest her soul, their family is my family .. ) but then he goes on to explain the true MEANING of being a PAHOA person .

We are there for each other , we ALOHA each other in the community .

We are resilient.

We are Pahoa Strong . 💪

His comment here towards end of entry made me cry---

But if you’re looking for good-hearted people who have your back when the power goes out or the lava hits the fan, well, they’re even easier to find, and sometimes they find you.

This is one of the sweetest blogs I've read in a while from someone who moved here.

True story , all of it.

I hope you enjoy learning a bit about my beautiful home . It also may give you a bit of insight as to what it's like for someone with CPTSD living in constant threat from eruptions and environmental hazards , but to even be able to live in Pahoa , Puna , you have to be a certain type of person . I truly feel everyone here has PTSD . And I want to see ALOT BETTER mental health RESOURCES for my community .

Anyway PLEASE ENJOY THIS ARTICLE. I AM EXCITED TO SHARE IT WITH YOU. great read on #Pahoa #Hawaii #Aloha .

Read here, you won't regret it!---
